This book series from Circon Verlag is more like a fun activity book than a learning book. It is adorned with cute illustrations and comes with stickers. Each page doesn’t have too many tasks to do, which is perfect for Nina’s age’s attention span. She has been having a lot of fun doing these!

Nina is 5 and she is going to Grundschule (primary school) next year. One of my biggest concerns is helping her to learn German. I don’t have a good grasp of the language and know even less about teaching it to a first grader. That is why I approached Circon Verlag, who has published a lot of educational books, to see if they have something for me.

Working on this book is also a learning process for me, with the aid of a dictionary and – more importantly – the answer key at the back of the book. As a non-native speaker of German, who didn’t learn German at school when I was young, this is completely foreign to me. Sometimes, Nina would tell me what something is – she has a wider vocabulary than I do, apparently.

I’m so thankful that Circon Verlag includes answer keys in their books instead of just leaving us parents in the dark lol.
