• Snow Day

I grew up in a tropical country and I had never actually seen snow until I moved to Germany a few years ago. Therefore, I still get that sense of amazement every time it snows. This winter I’ve been waiting eagerly, hoping for a white Christmas maybe, but we never got anything more than little snowflakes that disappeared almost instantaneously after they hit the ground… until today!

I immediately marched Nina out in the late morning before the snow has the chance to melt or get dirty… and what a fascinating walk it was! We saw different footprints, explored different textures of snow and managed to build a snowman for the very first time. Too bad we didn’t have a carrot at hand, nor did we find any pebbles for his eyes or buttons…

Finally… snow!
